Dear Everyone On Monday 28th December we propose a Club visit to the world famous Olympic MTB venue Hadleigh Park some 50 mins drive from Saffron Walden. hadleigh-park.co.ukHadleigh Park has been developed into a fantastic centre for off road riding for all abilities as part of the Olympic legacy. It has a variety of trails and skills sections where riders can practise and improve their bike handling skills. Access to the trails and parking is free. Its very beautiful with views over the Thames estuary. There are loos, a bike shop and an outstanding cafe run by the Salvation Army, who own the land, selling a variety of foods including burgers they make from their own beef raised in the valley below. We would aim to arrive at the venue at 10am. People are free to complete an initial lap as part of a group if they so wish and then move on to spend the time enjoying the venue and the challenges it offers at all levels, ages and experiences. This is in response to club member requests for opportunities to develop their MTB riding and possibly work up to participation in the Mud, Sweat and Gears series including the excellent course at Carver Barracks built by Andrew and others. If you are interested please let us know by responding to this email Many Thanks Liam B
